In April 2020 in the midst of a global pandemic we decided to buy a boat, and move onto it!

We moved onto a 44 foot Catamaran called ‘Phar Lap’.

Alex has dreamed of sailing for over 25 years and after sailing with friends he decided to rent a catamaran in the Whitsundays and from there he was hooked.  Originally buying a trailer sailer he then went on to purchase a 53 foot wooden Norman Cross trimaran.  After a year of renovations he decided it wasn’t the boat for him and after meeting Angela they decided to purchase their Kelsall Catamaran, Phar Lap.

Phar Lap is a boat that has amazing bones, for her age a very modern shape. Built in Thailand in 2001.  She is comprised of foam and fibreglass composite.
